Please note that for the safety of our patients, their families, and our staff, visitation is no longer allowed at Southcoast Behavioral Health Hospital.

Premier Adolescent Inpatient Treatment Program in Dartmouth, Massachusetts

Located in Dartmouth, Massachusetts, Southcoast Behavioral Health is a 144-bed psychiatric hospital that provides inpatient treatment for adolescents with mental health diagnoses.

In order to meet these specific needs, Southcoast Behavioral Health offers an adolescent-specific psychiatric inpatient treatment program for youth between the ages of 13 and 17.

Programming on the adolescent unit is tailored for this population, offering treatment modalities that have proven effectiveness in successfully helping young people overcome behavioral health concerns. These treatment modalities include the following:

  • Dialectical behavior therapy
  • Cognitive behavioral therapy
  • Motivational interviewing

These therapies are delivered in a framework that is targeted to address relevant issues within the adolescent population.
