Located in Dartmouth, Massachusetts, Southcoast Behavioral Health is a 120-bed psychiatric hospital that provides inpatient treatment for adolescents and adults with mental health diagnoses. Treatment at Southcoast is founded in the philosophy that all patients should receive treatment with kindness, compassion, dignity, respect, and hope. Our staff, consisting of a board-certified psychiatrist, licensed clinical social workers, registered nurses, recreational therapists, and mental health technicians, are dedicated to providing the compassionate and comprehensive care that lasting recovery requires. Treatment at Southcoast includes multiple interventions delivered in an inpatient setting. During a typical 5- to 7-day stay, each patient may participate in the following regularly-scheduled interventions during the course of his or her day:
- Individual therapy
- Family therapy
- Process groups
- Didactic groups
- Medication management services
We provide specialized treatment for a range of mental health issues and work closely with patients’ loved ones and other treatment providers to ensure continuity of care after our patients are discharged.
